Update: Family of wandering toddler on Detroit’s west side has been located

Child is either two or three years old

DETROIT – The family of the wandering toddler has been located.

Officials will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.


Police are looking for the family of a two or 3-year-old girl seen wandering in Detroit.

Officials say the girl (whose name could be Aroura) was seen wandering alone on Washburn Street and Cambridge Avenue at 5:25 p.m. on Friday (May 24).

She is wearing a purple t-shirt, brown pants with butterflies on them, and purple light-up shoes.

Anyone who recognizes the little girl or has any information regarding his parents or guardians is urged to contact the Detroit Police Department’s 12th Precinct at 313-596-1201.
