DETROIT – Stolen equipment used in a costly joyride was found this week on Detroit’s east side.
The stolen equipment, which left a trail of destruction, was spotted by a neighbor who contacted Valencia Daniel on Tuesday evening in Detroit.
The neighbor said they found the equipment in an alley several blocks from Daniel’s house, which had suffered property damage when a man stole it from a construction site and ran into her 100-year-old fence.

Upon receiving the news, Munaco Landscape, the owner of the stolen equipment, immediately dispatched a crew to retrieve it, underscoring their dedication to the project and the community. Domenico Munaco with Munaco Landscape said the machine is worth $60,000.
“We’ll get this machine back, hopefully nothing is too wrong with it and we can use it tomorrow and get this project going,” Munaco said.
It’s unclear how the machine was stolen, as the lockbox appeared untouched.
