Bank of America online services down for thousands of people Debt still OK though
Yes, I named my checking account "Money Comes From Here," I'm not ashamed of that. This is a real screenshot from the BOA app on my phone. (WDIV)
DETROIT – Thousands and thousands of Bank of America customers have reported having trouble accessing their bank accounts Wednesday, Oct. 2.
According to DownDetector , more than 20,000 people reported outages shortly after noon.
When I checked my Bank of America app on my phone, I received an alert that said “Some accounts and/or balances are temporarily unavailable.”
My checking account balance was presented as “--” but the good news is they do have access to exactly how much credit card debt I have with them, so that’s good. Glad that still exists.
If you tap the “--” balance, details on the account -- including the actual balance -- can be seen.
It’s unknown when services will return to normal.
