Detroit NAACP celebrates leadership, executive committee at annual ceremony

DETROIT – It was a special night for Detroit’s NAACP branch, as a ceremony was held to appoint this year’s officers and executive committee.

Thursday (Jan. 23) was also a night to celebrate Reverend Dr. Wendell Anthony, who was sworn in for his 17th term as Detroit’s branch leader.

“It’s a big job, and we are not going back,”

In addition to being the Detroit branch president, Anthony is also a member of the NAACP National Board of Directors.
