Suspicious package with unknown liquids prompts hazmat response in Southfield Police said there were no known risks to the public

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A suspicious package with unknown liquids prompted a hazmat response in Southfield.
The Southfield Police Department received the package on Wednesday (May 7).
As a precaution, contact was made with the Oakland County Hazmat Team (OAKWAY), which includes the Southfield Fire Department.
The liquid was evaluated at the City of Southfield Municipal Campus.
Police said there were no known risks to the public.
