Strikes for independence: Bowling event in Troy supports adults with developmental disabilities

TROY, Mich. – A special bowling event took over the Escape Entertainment Center in Troy.

The event, which occurred on Friday (July 18), was hosted by On My Own of Michigan, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people with developmental disabilities live independently.

Local 4 met one of their members who has now achieved independence through the program.

On My Own of Michigan says it’s always looking for volunteers who want to make a difference.
