Argument over woman leads to deadly mass stabbing at Detroit pool party

2 killed, 2 remain injured

DETROIT – Police are looking for the person responsible for killing two people at a Detroit pool party Saturday.

It happened just before 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9, near the intersection of Seven Mile Road and Fleming Street.

Police said four people were stabbed. A man and a woman have been killed, one man is expected to survive and another is in critical condition.

Detroit police Deputy Chief Arnold Williams said they believe the stabbing stemmed from an argument over a woman at the party.

The suspect has been identified by police but has not been taken into custody.
