OXFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 16-year-old from Clarkston has been arrested after he allegedly shot another teen in the wrist during an argument at a party in Oxford Township, police said.
The shooting happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at Oakwood Lake Township Park in Oxford Township, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies went to the park after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, a 17-year-old from Oxford Township told them that he had been involved in an argument with another teen who had repeatedly pointed a laser in his eyes.
The teen told them that the 16-year-old shot him in the wrist and then left the park.
The 17-year-old Oxford Township man was taken to the hospital. He was treated and released, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
The 16-year-old suspect was arrested at about noon on Sunday, Aug. 10, at a mobile home park in Springfield Township.
He is expected to appear in Oakland County Children’s Village to face charges on Monday, Aug. 11, according to the sheriff’s office.
