WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A former Wayne County official is facing federal charges in connection with former Inkster Mayor Patrick Wimberly’s bribery scandal.
Saif Alsenad, a former Wayne County director of government and public affairs, is accused of lying about his knowledge of bribes involving the former mayor while working in the city in 2024.

Wimberly was sentenced to two years in prison.
