DETROIT – The suspect who killed two people in a quadruple stabbing at a pool party in Detroit last weekend has been arrested.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, near 7 Mile Road and Fleming Street.
Police said a 31-year-old man and a woman in her 20s were killed in the stabbing, and two men were injured.
Officials said one man was expected to survive and another was in critical condition at the time of the stabbing.
The family identified one of the victims as Jakirea Williams, 31, who hosted what was meant to be an intimate gathering of family and friends.
Police said the stabbing occurred following an argument where one of the victims tried to break up a fight.

Neighbors told Local 4 that the home is often rented out for parties.
Alvin Taylor, who shares the property with his wife, Diamond Taylor, said the party being held that night was a family event that ended just before the stabbing happened.
A $5,000 reward was being offered for information that advances the case.
