Man electrocuted while elevated on mechanical lift in Sterling Heights has succumbed to injuries Man was listed in critical condition
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The man who was found unresponsive mid-air after getting electrocuted while on a mechanical lift in Sterling Heights has died.
The incident occurred on Monday (Aug. 25) around 2:30 p.m. on Metro Parkway after police said he touched a power line .
Police said they arrived on the scene and observed the 41-year-old Grosse Point Park man unresponsive in the air, touching the power lines.
Officials said the fire department arrived, along with DTE, where first responders removed the victim from the lift and began performing CPR.
Police said the victim was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
