OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Police officers on foot patrol caught a vandal mid-tag at an Oakland County gas station.

The incident occurred on Friday (Aug. 29) at 1 a.m. when police said they arrested a 19-year-old man from Waterford who was caught in the act of spray-painting graffiti on the walls of the Citgo gas station at 6011 Williams Lake Road.

Officers said they were conducting proactive foot surveillance when they found the man behind the building, holding a can of spray paint, with fresh graffiti on the walls of the building.

Police said the man was taken into custody, and four cans of spray paint were recovered.
