Dangerous escaped convict in Wayne County taken into custody Public advised to contact police with any sightings
INKSTER, Mich. – Police have confirmed an escaped convict in Inkster has been taken into custody.
Police identified the man as Antonio Dewayne Hollingsworth , a parole absconder convicted of armed robbery. He was taken into custody after a motorcycle crash that critically injured another person.
Hollingsworth was last seen heading east toward Inkster Road from Garden City Hospital at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
Police initially warned residents that Hollingsworth was dangerous and that people should call 911 if spotted.
According to authorities, he entered a pharmacy and asked to use the phone. The clerk reportedly recognized Hollingsworth and contacted Garden City police, who arrested him just before 4:30 p.m.
He is now in the custody of the Inkster Police Department.
