Farmington Hills man accused of accosting Livonia teen through online dating app

Court sets $300,000 bond

LIVONIA, Mich. – A 38-year-old man from Farmington Hills has been arrested after reportedly accosting a 15-year-old boy from Livonia.

According to authorities, Jamel Rishard Hoze used an online dating app in April to solicit the teen to meet him in a parking structure on Six Mile Road in Livonia for sexual contact. He also reportedly sent explicit photos of himself to the child through another app.

Hoze was charged Friday, Sept. 12, with accosting a minor for immoral purposes, using a computer to commit a crime and distributing sexually explicit matter to a child.

His bond was set at $300,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 25.
