CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A crash in Canton Township has left three people injured after a Mini Cooper crossed the median.
The crash occurred on Monday (Sept. 15) at 8:01 p.m. in the area of Michigan Avenue and Lilley Road.

Police said a gray Mini Cooper Countryman, driven by a 36-year-old man from Ypsilanti, was traveling west on Michigan Avenue at Lilley Road when it crossed the median and struck a blue Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 52-year-old man from Monroe, who was traveling east on Michigan Avenue.
Officials said the motorcycle then struck a maroon Nissan Maxima, driven by a 51-year-old man from Ypsilanti, that was also traveling east on Michigan Avenue.
Police said occupants of all three vehicles were transported to Metro Detroit hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The Canton Township Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team was called in to investigate the crash.
The crash remains under investigation; however, alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
