It has been a rainy day across the region, and it has also been a much colder day.
Most of the region has experienced falling temperatures throughout the day, with temperatures already in the 50s by late this afternoon.
We will bring an end to the much-needed rain, but the colder temperatures will persist for the rest of the week.
The cloud cover is expected to clear out late Tuesday night.
Wednesday
Expect skies to go mainly clear overnight and early on Wednesday morning. And much colder temperatures are expected to arrive early on Wednesday morning.
Overnight, lows are expected to drop into the mid-40s by the time we wake up on Wednesday morning.
High pressure will build into the region looking ahead through the middle and end of the week.
However, the colder temperatures are expected to persist.
High temperatures will struggle to reach the low 60s by Wednesday, and then fall into the upper 30s by Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
Thursday
I am not going to rule out some patchy frost outside of the metro as you wake up early on Thursday morning, or temperatures will be a little bit colder.
We keep the sunshine around through the end of the week and into the upcoming weekend.
Temperatures are expected to moderate by the end of the week.
Weekend forecast
Expect temperatures to rebound out of the lower 60s by Thursday, into the upper 60s by Friday, and at the start of next weekend on Saturday.
The Sunshine sticks around through the upcoming weekend, and the temperature continues to warm up gradually by the time we reach the weekend as well.
Temperatures into the upper 60s on Saturday will warm into the lower 70s by Sunday.
