A plane has crashed near Louisville’s Muhammad Ali International Airport.
The crash occurred on Tuesday (Nov. 4) around 5:30 p.m. in Louisville, Kentucky.
Louisville police said multiple agencies are on the scene and that injuries are reported.
We’re getting reports of numerous fires and debris in the area, and people are being asked to avoid the area while first responders are working.
The FAA confirmed on X that the plane that crashed was a UPS cargo plane that was departing from Kentucky to Honolulu, Hawaii.
UPS Flight 2976 crashed around 5:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Nov. 4, after departing from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Kentucky. The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was headed to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. The FAA and NTSB will investigate.…

UPS confirmed that three crew members were onboard, but did not confirm any injuries or fatalities.
