Man charged in sexual assault of 5-year-old girl at Detroit McDonald’s Bond set at $250,000

DETROIT – A 34-year-old man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl at a McDonald’s on Detroit’s west side .
It happened Oct. 30 at the McDonald’s restaurant on Michigan Avenue, near Larkin Street.
Joshua Joel-Eli Brown is accused of following a 5-year-old girl into the women’s restroom, where he reportedly “had inappropriate sexual contact” with her before fleeing the scene.
Brown was charged Wednesday, Nov. 5, with second-degree criminal sexual conduct. His bond was set at $250,000.
A bond redetermination hearing is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 7.
