DEARBORN, Mich. – The FBI executed a search warrant at a Dearborn home early Tuesday morning.

Police agencies were executing a search warrant at a home in the area of Oxford and Queen streets, near Telegraph and Outer Drive, at around 6 a.m. on Nov. 18.

Dearborn police confirmed FBI agents were on the west side of the city Tuesday morning, conducting an operation connected to a recent felonious assault involving a firearm.

“We want to reassure our community that there is no threat to public safety at this time,” Dearborn police said on social media. “The Dearborn Police Department remains fully committed to protecting the safety and well-being of everyone who lives, works, and visits our city.”

What neighbor saw

A neighbor living in the home across the street from the house that was searched told Local 4 what he saw and heard that morning.

At around 6 a.m., he said he heard a booming voice announce that the FBI was there and would be searching the home.

He said he saw two people leaving the house, “No violence, they were willing to cooperate,” he recalled.

He said he heard the FBI use flash bangs and searched the house and garage. He also saw them removing stuff from the garage, but he couldn’t see what they were removing.

There was a lot of flashing lights, and the flash bangs sounded like gunshots.

“This is a little bit abnormal,” he said, mentioning that this is a quiet, family neighborhood.
