A Wayne County man was arrested Tuesday night after leading police on a chase in a suspected stolen car, then stopping at a casino.
A 29-year-old Van Buren Township man allegedly stole a car in Southgate and led a police chase before stopping at the MGM Grand Detroit.
The stolen car was found by police at a gas station near 8 Mile Road and Glastonbury on Nov. 18, 2025, with no one inside.
Michigan State Police’s helicopter, Trooper 2, started following the car after a man got into the car and began driving away. While tracking, police saw that he had “intentionally” rammed into another car. No one was injured in that crash.
After Michigan State Police troopers caught up with the man, they tried to pull him over, but he allegedly continued to drive away.
