Dearborn man found guilty of sexually assaulting child over several years

A Dearborn man was found guilty on charges stemming from multiple sexual assaults on a child over several years in Roseville, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Elie Otayek, 43, was found guilty on Nov. 21 following a three-day jury trial on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The jury reached its verdict after eight hours of deliberations.

Otayek faces at least 25 years in prison. Once released, he will be electronically monitored for life. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 13, 2026, at 9 a.m.
