A low key start to this “back-to-routine” week. The first full week of January will feel a bit more spring-like. Before the warm-up ensues, Winter Weather Advisories in the northern half of Lower Michigan are in effect until 10AM. The snow has stayed confined north of I-69, and will taper off through the morning.
A warming trend will begin today as high temperatures rise above freezing, into the mid to upper 30s. High temperatures are then projected to climb steadily through the 40s mid to late week. A system Tuesday morning may bring a brief period of mixed precipitation before changing to rain. We will have multiple chances for rain starting Thursday afternoon before changing to a mix/snow later on Saturday into Sunday.
