A short period of freezing rain and sleet is likely for areas north of I-69 this morning. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Sanilac County from 7AM to 1PM. Otherwise, a brief period of freezing rain can’t be ruled out elsewhere but rising temperatures will mainly support rain showers through this afternoon, trending to drizzle by the evening. Patchy fog will also be possible later this morning into the early afternoon. Highs around 40.
A continued warming trend keeps high temperatures well into the 40s through mid-week with 50s possible Thursday and Friday. The next round of widespread rain is expected late Thursday into Thursday night. Rain returns for the later half of Saturday and as temperatures fall into the second half of the weekend there remains a chance for snow to mix in Saturday night and linger into Sunday. Highs on Sunday struggle to reach the freezing mark.
