Winter weather advisory issued for most of Southeast Michigan

1-3 inches already reported in parts of the region

A winter weather advisory has been issued for most of Southeast Michigan until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026. (WDIV)

A winter weather advisory has been issued for most of Southeast Michigan on Wednesday as snow moves across the region.

The following counties are under a winter weather advisory until 10 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2026:

  • St. Clair County
  • Livingston County
  • Oakland County
  • Macomb County
  • Washtenaw County
  • Wayne County
  • Lenawee County
  • Monroe County
  • Sanilac County

Snow totals of 1-3 inches have been reported across parts of Southeast Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.

An additional 1-2 inches is possible throughout the evening Wednesday.

The NWS said “a band of snow currently resides across portions of Livingston, Oakland, and Macomb County.” It is expected to gradually move southeast through the early evening hours.

Huron County is also under a winter weather advisory until 10 a.m. on Thursday, with accumulations of 3 to 6 inches expected.
