ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A Warren man was arrested early Monday after a chase through Metro Detroit that followed a deadly shooting on Detroit’s west side.
The murder happened at about 3 a.m., Monday, March 2, on Hasse Street, just south of Seven Mile Road. Detroit police said an argument led to a man in his 30s being shot to death before the suspect fled the scene.

Police said the suspected gunman and the victim knew each other.
According to authorities, Michigan State Police troopers located the suspect vehicle on I-94, near Haggerty Road, less than an hour after the shooting.
Police said they attempted a traffic stop, but the car sped off into Washtenaw County, where it exited at Ann Arbor Saline Road. While pursued on Ann Arbor Saline Road, the driver attempted a U-turn, but troopers were able to box the vehicle in.
The driver, only identified as a 38-year-old man from Warren, was taken into custody and handed over to the Detroit Police Department.
