Silver bars, coins targeted in Bloomfield Township mail thefts, police say
Victims reported silver thefts in two recent cases

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Bloomfield Township police are urging residents to be alert after receiving multiple reports of mail tampering and theft.
In two reported cases, victims said silver coins and silver bars were taken after the mail was marked delivered.

The department recommended that residents sign up for the U.S. Postal Service’s Informed Delivery service to monitor incoming mail and help prevent theft.
Anyone who sees suspicious activity at mailboxes is asked to report it to Bloomfield Township police at 248-433-7755.
