Crews had to make emergency closures on westbound I-96/M-14 at the I-275 interchange on Wednesday due to poor road conditions.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) said the area was planned to be closed within the next few weeks for reconstruction. However, crews had to close lanes and a ramp on March 11 at around 12 p.m. due to recent extreme weather, which caused major road deterioration.
