Ann Arbor firefighters respond to massive house fire over weekend
ANN ARBOR โ Members of the Ann Arbor Fire Department responded to a house fire on Saturday just after 8:30 a.m. According to a Facebook post by the department, the firefighters battled a blaze on Miller Ave. just east of M-14. A second alarm brought in fire departments from Pittsfield Township, Scio Township, Saline Area and Ann Arbor Township. Ann Arbor Police Department, Huron Valley Ambulance and Helping Area Response Teams provided assistance on the scene. This is the third second alarm structure fire in Ann Arbor in 2020.
1 killed after semi truck slams into vehicles setting them on Sheldon Road
Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday morning involving vehicles that caught fire and a semi truck. On Friday at 9:30 a.m. MSP started getting calls about the crash that has closed Eastbound M-14 between Haggerty and Sheldon roads. Police say the semi truck struck three vehicles that were either stopped or slowing down in backed up traffic. A person was killed when one of the vehicles caught fire, according to MSP. Police say the area will be closed for a long period as the investigation continues.
Eastbound M-14 ramp leaving Ann Arbor to close overnight
ANN ARBOR, Mich. Those leaving Ann Arbor by eastbound M-14 tonight and Friday night will have to find another route. From 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, the northbound U.S. 23 ramp to eastbound M-14 ramp will be temporarily closed for construction, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. Witnesses reported that two vehicles traveling westbound on M-14 collided with a pedestrian crossing the freeway on foot. The pedestrian has not been identified and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man had several tattoos, including the word "hot" on his left forearm, "boy" on his right right forearm, as well as "nell" on his shoulders.

MDOT: Eastbound M-14 from I-94 to Main Street to close Sunday for bridge repair
Heads up Ann Arbor. MDOT will close eastbound M-14 from I-94 to Main Street over the Huron River for six hours on Sunday morning to repair bridge railing. While the lanes are closed, the suggested alternate route will be eastbound I-94 to northbound US-23.

Lanes closed for repairs on ramp from WB M-14 to NB US-23
ANN ARBOR, Mich. โ The right lane on the ramp from westbound M-14 to northbound US-23 is closed Thursday for urgent pavement repairs. Parts of the pavement on the ramp are in dire condition and crews are working to fix the roadway.
