BELLEVILLE, Mich. – A neighborhood has been taped off following a shooting in Belleville that left one person injured.
The incident occurred on Wednesday (March 18) at a home on Edgewood Drive in Sumpter Township.
Local 4 was not privy to details, but we know at least one person was shot.
There is no word on their condition or if anyone was arrested.
Tammy Dufea lives in the neighborhood and said all she knew was that a shooting had occurred.
“I didn’t hear anything, and I just saw the cops coming in,” said Dufea.
Dufea said she had no issues living in the community for about five years and that she likes it as it is quiet.
“This is the first time that I’ve seen a lot of this going on,” Dufea said.
She said the incident made her nervous, that it was close to her home, and that she hopes everyone involved is OK.
