Jolly Pumpkin in Midtown Detroit closes after 11 years

DETROIT – Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery has closed its Midtown Detroit location.

The business announced the closure of its location at 441 W. Canfield Street in a social media post on Sunday, but added that it plans to return to Detroit in the future.

“After 11 incredible years, JP is closing its doors. We are so grateful for the love, support, and memories you’ve shared with us over the years, it has truly meant everything.

This isn’t goodbye, just see you soon. JP will be back in Detroit, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. Stay tuned here for updates.

Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery

The Jolly Pumpkin location at Main and Fifth in Royal Oak was converted into a new restaurant called Bandit Tavern and Hideaway in November 2023, but that concept closed less than a year later. The pizzeria and brewery’s Dearborn location also closed a few years ago.

The business still has locations open in Ann Arbor, Dexter, East Lansing and Traverse City.
