Inkster, Mich. – Two teenagers died in an early Sunday morning shooting in Inkster, police said.
Around 5 a.m. April 12, Inkster police responded to a report of a male gunshot victim on Penn Street near Meadowdale Avenue.

When officers arrived, they began life-saving measures until EMS transported the 17-year-old victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
While searching the area with assistance from Michigan State Police, officers found a blood trail leading to a backyard on the same block, where a firearm was recovered.
Police said they later found a second gunshot victim, a 15-year-old male, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, but police said there is no indication of an immediate threat to the public.
