The Great Lakes are a living system that reacts to whatever we do. Between shipping and tourism, the lakes generate billions of dollars for our economy.
Spectacular views are one of the biggest draws for tourists to come to our state.
Nick Nerbonne, the media and digital director for Travel Michigan and part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, joined Local 4 Live to explain more about how the Great Lakes power Michigan’s economy.
