Leading Sterling Heights captain retires after nearly 30 years

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – After nearly 30 years with the Sterling Heights Police department Captain Colleen Hopper is retiring.

Captain Hopper has been with the department since 1997.

Throughout her career, she was the first woman to reach several leadership ranks, including sergeant, lieutenant and captain.

Captain Hopper joined Local 4 Live to reflect on her career.
