Grill guide: Here’s what temperature each meat should to be cooked at to be safe to eat

The first part of grill safety is to cook using a food thermometer.

The thermometer helps you make sure meat is cooked hot enough to kill harmful germs so you stay healthy.

When smoking keep meat safe by keeping temperature inside the smoker at 225 degrees F to 300 degrees F.

Individual meat guide

When cooking whole cuts of beef, pork, or lamb make sure to cook at 145 degrees F and let the meat rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Cooking fish, both whole and fillet make sure to cook at 145 degrees F.

Hamburgers, sausage and other ground beef, pork or lamb cook meat at 160 degrees F.

When cooking chicken, turkey, and other pourlty have meat cook at 165 degrees F.
