Raccoons freed from Genesee County sewer

If it wasn't supposed to be an unconventional necklace for a raccoon, it shouldn't have been made to fit a raccoon. (WDIV)GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. – Two raccoons that found themselves stuck in a sewer were freed by animal control.

It happened Friday, June 12, in Genesee County.
Authorities said one raccoon had its head stuck in the center of the metal sewer grate and the other was trapped beneath it.
With the help of Genesee County Animal Care, the two raccoons were rescued safely and returned to the wild.
It’s not the first time this has happened in Southeast Michigan.
