WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A Honduran man, who federal officials say is wanted for murder, was arrested in Taylor for allegedly illegally re-entering the United States.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan, Michael Jamblyck Costly Bennett, 30, was arrested during a traffic stop in Taylor.
Prosecutors said a record check revealed he was allegedly in the United States illegally and wanted abroad for murder. Federal agents also found suspected fraudulent documents in his possession, including counterfeit Social Security and permanent resident cards.
Federal authorities said Bennett had been previously removed from the United States twice.
Bennett was federally charged and appeared in court in Detroit on Thursday, July 30.
