Police search for father who fled motorcycle crash in Detroit, leaving injured 2-year-old daughter

The 2-year-old girl was taken to a Metro Detroit hospital and is listed in stable condition

DETROIT – Police are asking a father to turn himself in for questioning after they say he fled the scene of a motorcycle crash that left his 2-year-old daughter injured.

The crash occurred on Sunday (June 28) around 8 p.m. in the 12800 block of Braile Street.

Police said the father was riding a motorcycle with his young daughter when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed.

Officials said the father left the scene, leaving behind the motorcycle and the child.

The 2-year-old girl was taken to a Metro Detroit hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Police said the father has been identified and is asking him to come forward for questioning as the investigation continues.

Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
