DETROIT – A man in his 70s is in custody after allegedly shooting his neighbor during a dispute on Detroit’s west side.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (July 7) when officers responded at about 12:15 p.m. to the 19400 block of Archer Street for reports of a shooting involving neighbors.
Police said the suspect, a man in his 70s, shot a man in his 50s during the dispute.
Officials said the victim suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the suspected shooter was taken into custody at the scene.
Investigators have not released additional details about what led to the dispute.
The shooting remains under investigation.
