DETROIT – The person sought in connection with a threat made against the Wayne State University campus and other entities on Tuesday has been arrested, the university announced early Wednesday.
In a campus alert issued Tuesday evening, WSU police and other law enforcement agencies said they were actively investigating and searching for the suspect.

Around 1 a.m., the university issued a follow up stating that the man was arrested in a different jurisdiction outside the city of Detroit, calling the security situation “resolved.”
Officials said they are increasing campus security measures out of an abundance of caution. No additional details about the nature of the threats or the identity of the individual were immediately released.
