DETROIT – A Detroit man is facing multiple charges in connection with a deadly shooting at a club.

The shooting happened on March 1 just after 3 a.m. Detroit police said when officers responded to the club in the 7100 block of West Warren Avenue, they found Darrell Moore, 26, with a gunshot wound to his neck.

Moore died at the scene.

Samuel Spencer Tipton, Jr. is accused of approaching Moore and firing a handgun at him before leaving the scene.

Tipton was arrested on July 6. He was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and two counts of felony firearm.
