ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP – Michigan State Police are searching for leads related to a hit-and-run crash in Royal Oak Township Sunday night that left a juvenile pedestrian injured.
The crash occurred around 11:17 p.m. on westbound 8 Mile Road, east of Wyoming Avenue. Police say the driver fled the scene traveling westbound on 8 Mile Road, and the minor was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

While an investigation into the incident is underway, police are asking any possible witnesses or anyone who may have information about the crash to reach out to the Michigan State Police Metro North Post immediately.
“We are still in the early stages of this investigation,” MSP posted to X Monday morning. “Even the smallest detail could help move this investigation forward.“
No additional information about the victim or the suspect has been shared.
