Sheriff’s deputies received a report about a stolen black Chevy Silverado on May 13 and managed to locate the vehicle around 6:30 p.m. on Dove Road in Port Huron Township. Police say Cutrubes, who had been driving the truck, tried to flee when deputies attempted a traffic stop.

Cutrubes then pulled into an area on 36th Street where he ditched the truck and attempted to flee on foot through a densely-wooded area before officers caught up to him and took him into custody without incident.

He is scheduled to appear at the 72nd District Court at 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 31.
