STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – An 18-year-old was injured in a shooting Friday morning in Sterling Heights.
The shooting happened in the area of eastbound Hall Road west of Schoenherr at around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 14.

Sterling Heights police said an 18-year-old man was shot and taken to a local hospital. His extent of his injuries were not released.
Police arrested a suspect within three hours of the shooting.
There is no active threat to the public, police said. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
