A voluntary recall was issued for a limited number of select Outshine Fruit Bar flavors after reports of possible foreign material contamination.
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. issued the recall on Sunday, Aug. 16, due to possible foreign material contamination with glass. The products impacted include Outshine Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine, and Black Cherry 6-Count 2.5-ounce Fruit Bars.
No other Outshine products or varieties are impacted. Only the five flavors listed are impacted, and the lots were distributed to retailers nationwide.
No illnesses or injuries were reported. Anyone with concerns about injuries should contact a healthcare provider immediately. Those who bought the affected product should toss or return it to their place of purchase for a full refund.
