As part of Michigan’s first PFAS Awareness Week, taking place Sept. 21-25, 2026, officials are sharing a ton of resources about how state agencies are working to reduce exposure to harmful PFAS, as well as what Michiganders can do to protect themselves and their families.
When do clocks fall back in 2026? What to know about Daylight Saving Time ending in Michigan
Daylight saving time will soon end in the United States, meaning clocks will be set back one hour.
Daylight saving time began at 2 a.m. on March 6 this year, moving the clocks forward one hour. It ends on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 a.m., meaning 2 a.m. becomes 1 a.m. and that hour is repeated, adding an extra hour that day to return to standard time.
Fiancée of Detroit Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown gives back for her birthday by supporting teacher wishlist
Brooklyn Adams, the fiancée of Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, is celebrating her birthday by giving back to teachers and their classrooms.
Adams purchased an entire teacher’s classroom wishlist to help kick off the new school year, according to the St. Brown Foundation. The foundation is also collaborating with Adams to support additional teacher wishlists.
Reporters are still blocked from the White House after judge’s order to restore their access
A federal judge temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s ban of three news outlets from the White House, ordering early Thursday that CNN, MS NOW and Politico must have their access restored. Reporters from all three outlets, however, said they remained blocked a few hours after the ruling.
The news outlets asked in a court filing for an immediate hearing to address their continued ban from White House grounds. The filing said a Secret Service agent had confiscated the journalists’ credentials.
4Warn Weather: Quiet and dry stretch ahead with sunshine and a warming trend
A quiet stretch of weather is ahead across Metro Detroit. The easterly wind continues today, although it will be a little weaker than yesterday as the pressure gradient relaxes. The breeze will keep temperatures on the slightly cooler side of average, but a drier air mass will bring plenty of sunshine so that helps highs reach the upper 60s today.
Another clear and crisp fall evening is ahead. Lows tonight will fall well into the 40s outside of the city, making for a chilly night.
