DASHCAM: Florida pursuit takes officers through the backwoods

A truck led Florida police on a backwoods chase Wednesday, plowing through fences and dodging cows. The video was taken from the dash cam of a Marion County sheriff's deputy.

The chase begins on a dusty dirt road before the driver of the truck takes off into a wooded area. The off-road pursuit takes law enforcement vehicles across cow pastures and through trees and brush. After 40 minutes, the officers close in on the truck and force it to a stop with a pit maneuver.

When deputies arrest the driver, he can be heard saying, "I was just giving ya'll something to do. Sorry...I was just giving ya'll something to do."

According to WPTV, the truck had been reported stolen.

Gregory Walker was arrested and charged with larceny, resisting an officer without violence, and fleeing and eluding police.
