Pregnant woman accused of fatally stabbing mother at home on Appoline Street in Detroit

DETROIT - Detectives from the Detroit Police Department are investigating a deadly stabbing which happened late Sunday night on the city's west side.

The stabbing happened in the 18000 block of Appoline Street just before midnight.  A 56-year-old woman, Pandora Cameron, was transported to the hospital after being allegedly stabbed in the chest by her 32-year-old daughter.

While being treated by doctors she went into cardiac arrest and died.

The daughter, who is 6-months pregnant, was taken to the hospital for a psychological evaluation.

NOTE: Detroit police originally believed the woman killed was the suspect's mother-in-law.
