DETROIT – The Philadelphia 76ers will play their home opener Friday night against the Detroit Pistons.
The 76ers (3-2) beat the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday, 101-93, finishing a five-game road trip to open the season.
The Pistons (2-4) have yet to win on the road this season with losses in Boston and Indiana. They fell to the Chicago Bulls, 99-83, on Wednesday night.
Detroit won two of the three games last season against Philadelphia and have taken seven of the past nine meetings.
The Pistons could have won three straight Wednesday night, but they only shot 40.9 percent against the Bulls.
Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Ben Gordon went 2-10 from the field -- his worst performance this season.
Game time is 7 p.m.
