Year-round golf practice center opens in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – Just in time for the spring season, professional golfer and Michigan-native Bob Krause has renovated a downtown Birmingham office space into a membership center for golfers to practice and train year-round, called 4-Seasons Golf Sports Club.

"This is the most advanced training center in the Midwest," Krause says. "We've got the highest technology and a very upscale environment."

The 4,000 square feet space, located at 555 South Old Woodward (Suite 21U), has a country club feel with two indoor golf simulators, three practice bays, a pro shop, a changing area, and a lounge.

Golfers are able to choose from 30 golf course simulations from around the world, and play with four people at once. Both the simulators and practice bays feature ball-tracking technology that analyzes every shot.

"Golf is an important game to play all year long if you want to keep up your game," Krause says.

Memberships are available for around $2,000 a year, or $185 for one month, and includes indoor range time, simulator time, and access to Krause's Golf Slot Machine. Private lessons by Krause are offered for $125 an hour, or packages of six hours for $700 or 10 hours for $1,000.

Though a membership is needed to use the practice bays and simulators, guests are able to play for $12.

Private lessons and the pro shop are open to the public.

4-Seasons Golf is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.Â
