DETROIT – A family is pleading for answers in the disappearance of a 35-year-old Detroit man.
Armoni McArn has been missing since May 1, 2026. He was last seen in the 14900 block of Joy Road in Detroit wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black Jeans.
His family describes Armoni as intelligent, loving, and kind. They said it is not like him to just disappear like this.
“He’s a good person, with a big heart. He’s trusting, loyal, to a fault sometimes,” his mother Janetta McArn said. “He has six children that are missing him so, so much. Four boys and two daughters. He talks to his children regularly. This is something he never does. He doesn’t just up and disappear.”
His family said the night Armoni was last seen he had returned home from the restaurant he worked at in Southfield. They said his keys, phone, money, and car were all at his apartment.
“He has bipolar disorder, but you don’t have to be scared to approach him, you know. If you approach him, you could just say, ‘You’re family’s looking for you. They just want to know if you’re OK,’” Armoni’s sister, Serenity Sawyer, said. “If you know anything about his disappearance, anywhere he may be, please, just let us know. We just want to know if he’s safe.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Commander Ryan Conner at the Detroit Police Department’s 2nd Precinct at 313-596-5240.
Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP. There is a $2,500 cash reward being offered for information that leads to locating Armoni McArn.
